Oregon State Parks has reopened the gate to the summit of Pilot Butte for the season. ⏰ The summit road gate will be open from 10 am – 9 pm daily! This Great Horned Owl was found in a Bend backyard in the middle of winter—injured, cold, and grounded. It was admitted to @thinkwildco in January with a fractured wing and signs of head trauma. After months of expert care, it was released back into the wild this week near the spot where it was first discovered. Just another reason to love this place—and the folks working quietly behind the scenes to help keep it wild. 🦉
