Thrilla Cyclocross Series p/b High Desert Sports and Spine and the Horner Cycling Foundation

The Horner Cycling Foundation is excited to announce that they will run the Thrilla Cyclocross Series at the Athletic Club of Bend on Thursdays in September. The series will begin September 12th and end on October 3rd. Register at www.obra.org.
Cyclocross is the sport of racing bicycles over rough terrain that usually requires carrying the bicycle over obstacles. Cyclocross bikes are not required but encouraged.
The course is a lap around the Athletic Club of Bend, clockwise. Each lap is close to 2 miles. Racers complete as many laps as they can in 30 or 45 minutes, depending on which race they sign up for. The course is mostly single-track, loose dirt, 2 barriers, sand pit (sometimes mud pit), a little pavement and a few steep climbs. It’s a perfect course for any rider whether you are a first timer or a pro.
There will be no entry fees charged for participation in individual races or the series, however, participants and spectators are encouraged to donate to assist with covering the cost of the event, in lieu of race entry fees. Everyone will still need to register through OBRA or day of.
