Wynonna Judd is an American country music singer known for her powerful, blues-infused voice and for rising to fame as one half of the mother-daughter duo The Judds alongside Naomi Judd. Born in Ashland, Kentucky, she helped The Judds become one of country music’s most successful acts of the 1980s and early 1990s, with a long run of hit songs and major industry awards. After the duo’s initial breakup in 1991, she launched a successful solo career with hits “No One Else On Earth” and “Tell Me Why,” and has continued recording and touring as a prominent voice in country music. In 2022, The Judds were inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame, further cementing her place in the genre’s history.
Melissa Etheridge is a Grammy and Academy Award-winning singer-songwriter known for her confessional lyrics and blend of heartland rock, folk, and blues. She broke through in the late 1980s and became a major force in the 1990s with hits like “Come to My Window,” “I’m the Only One,” and “I Want To Come Over”. She has also been widely recognized for her openness, resilience, and advocacy, including her public visibility as an LGBTQ+ artist and her recent return to the stage after breast cancer treatment. Over the course of her career, Etheridge has remained a powerful, enduring voice in American rock music.
