That new snow made for a good morning on the mountain! Now we’re keeping an eye on the weekend 🤞 📍 Mt. Bachelor
POV: winter in Bend looks a little like this. ☀️☕️ Blue skies, crisp air, and a day that moves at your speed. The itinerary: ☕ Coffee at @watershedroasters 🥐 Sweet treats from @sparrowbakery 🚶♂️ A quiet stroll along the Deschutes 📚 Getting happily lost at @dudleysbookshopbend 🍷 A glass at @gooddropwineshoppe 🍺 Apps + brews at @monklessbelgianales 🔥 Fireside hangs at @warminghutno5 ✨ And wandering downtown under twinkling lights A reminder: winter in Bend doesn’t have to be go-go-go. It can be slow mornings, warm drinks, quiet rivers, and good conversation.
𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗱, 𝗢𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗢𝗹𝘆𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗰 𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗳𝗽𝗶𝗽𝗲 Before competing on the world stage, freeski halfpipe athlete Hunter Hess was just another kid lapping @mtbachelor. Learning his edges. Finding air. Spending long winter days on the mountain. Those early Mt. Bachelor laps turned into years of halfpipe sessions, slopestyle runs, and big-mountain days. Now he’s headed to the 2026 Winter Olympics with Team USA. 🗓️ Want to watch? • Feb 19 — Halfpipe Qualifiers • Feb 20 — Halfpipe Finals Mt. Bachelor isn’t just a training ground—it’s groomer laps that turn into park runs, Nacho Mountain detours (IYKYK 😉), and those “one more run” days that somehow turn into five. Good Luck, Hunter! We’ll be watching from Bend. ⛷️ — Image 1: ©Brett Wilhelm/U.S. Ski & Snowboard | @wilhelmvisualworks/@usskiteam Image 2: ©Dustin Satloff/U.S. Ski & Snowboard | @dustinsatloff/@usskiteam Image 3: ©Brett Wilhelm/U.S. Ski & Snowboard | @wilhelmvisualworks/@usskiteam #BendOregon #WinterOlympics #TeamUSA #MtBachelor #Freeski
Trail miles along the river. A sunny spot to cool down after. That’s a pretty solid Bend afternoon. ☀️
