Carving a dramatic, 2,000-foot-deep canyon through Oregon’s high desert, the Deschutes River offers a uniquely reliable whitewater adventure with splashy, sun-soaked fun. Rafting trips are all about going with the flow and not just literally. You can be as active or relaxed as you like and Ouzel makes it easy for you to do either and both. A guide will always be in control of the raft but you’re free to grab a paddle and help power the boat through rapids. Alternatively, sit back on a comfortable bench seat in another boat and daydream as eagles play on the updrafts.

River trips are not backpacking trips where every ounce of extra weight matters. Ouzel brings it all. Snacks can be gourmet charcuterie boards. Dinner might be tri-tip or salmon with spinach salad.
