Protecting your private information is our priority. This Statement of Privacy applies to visitbend.com and Bend VCB and explains what personal information we collect, what we do with it, what we don’t do with it, and how we keep it safe — and how you can manage your consent or restrict data collection and processing. For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, unless otherwise noted, all references to Bend VCB include visitbend.com and Visit Bend. The Visit Bend website is an information and reference site. By using the Visit Bend website, you consent to the data practices described in this statement.
The Bend City Council created, empowered, and funded Visit Bend (formerly the Bend Visitor & Convention Bureau) to develop and build Bend’s tourism industry. Visit Bend is an economic development organization whose primary function is to create an effective mix of marketing, sales, and service programs, which are designed to produce a positive economic impact of visitor and convention spending in Bend. As a result, there is a substantial public interest in ensuring that the public funds are used in a responsible, effective manner. Anonymous data collection and statistical reporting is paramount in demonstrating accountable use of tax revenue. Bend VCB is a nonprofit organization.

Collection of your Personal Information
Please keep in mind that if you directly disclose personally identifiable information or personally sensitive data through Visit Bend’s public message boards, this information may be collected and used by others.
We only collect the minimum amount of data necessary to deliver an optimal experience to you. Your data comes from a variety of sources upon your explicit consent, including visitation behavior on visitbend.com; engagement with our email messages; preferences stored in browser cookies; Visit Bend advertisement engagement; and form data such as name, email address, mailing address, and preferences from forms on visitbend.com and our data partners. Our data partners append general technographic and demographic data to your information, which may include predicted values or ranges for household income, education level, home value, presence of children based on user location.
We do not collect any personal information about you unless you voluntarily provide it to us. Visit Bend may keep track of the websites and pages our users visit within Visit Bend, in order to determine what Visit Bend services are the most popular. We use GA to track aggregated website behavior, such as what pages you looked at, for how long, and so on. This information is important to us for improving the user experience and determining site effectiveness.
