Two of rock’s iconic bands – Foreigner and Styx – come together live for the last time ever on this summer’s Renegades and Juke Box Heroes Tour along with special guest John Waite. Fans new and old get an incredible opportunity to fist pump and sing along to classics “Come Sail Away,” “Cold As Ice,” “Mr. Roboto,” and “Hot Blooded,” to name a few!
Foreigner is an English-American rock band, originally formed in 1976 by renegade English musician and guitar maestro Mick Jones along with vocalist Lou Gramm. Their self-titled debut album became an immediate hit, with even bigger hitting albums to follow – “Double Vision” and “Head Games”. Jones reformed the band after a 2002 hiatus and selected lead singer Kelly Hansen to inspire the new chapter. One of rock’s greatest showmen, Hansen’s 35-year career spans almost every area of music, and he’s led the group into the digital age garnering a whole new genertion of fans. In fact, Foreignerโs connection to a younger demographic is illustrated by the massive increase in streaming generated by the bandโs song uses in such hit movies and TV shows as โGood Boysโ and โStranger Thingsโ.
Styx are the multimegamillion-selling rock band who’ve forged an indelible legacy in rock music history. Comprised of creative musical craftsmen, Styx are known for a lot of things, but resting on their laurels isn’t one of them. Like a symphony that builds to a satisfying crescendo, a Styx set covers a wide range of stylistic cornerstones. From the progressively sweeping splendor that is โThe Grand Illusionโ to the hunker-down fortitude of all that is the โBlue Collar Man,โ from the majestic spiritual love for a special โLadyโ to the poignant rumination on the fleeting nature of fame in โMiss America,โ from the regal reach-for-the-stars bravado of โCome Sail Awayโ to the grainy all-in gallop of that rugged โRenegadeโ who had it made, the band draws on an unlimited cache of ways to immerse oneโs mind and body in their signature sound.
