Grief Into Beauty: Creating Nature Altars to Heal and Transform Loss
In our fast paced world, there’s rarely time to pause to mark and make meaning of important milestones in our lives, especially loss and grief. This can often leave us feeling alone and disconnected. This altar building workshop, based on the internationally renowned artist Day Schildkret and author of Morning Altars: A Seven Step Practice to Nourish Your Spirit through Nature, Art and Ritual invites you to slow down to remember and honor the difficult changes taking place in our lives and reconnect to wonder, gratitude, creativity and our wholeness through the ritual practice of creating a Morning Altar.
Join Anne Gordon, certified Morning Altars teacher, where you will learn Day Schildkret’s 7-step practice of creating impermanent nature altars within the context of honoring our grief and loss. You will have the opportunity to create an altar and share with other participants if you choose. All are welcome, no art background necessary.
Facilitator:
Anne Gordon M. A., is a life coach, Ecopsychologist, certified Morning Altars teacher and spiritual mentor. She’s lived in Bend for 23 years together with her husband and three grown children.
