Live at the Vineyard: The Junebugs….Kick Up Your Heels!!!
June 14 at 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
$25![](https://visitbend.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/event-image-27.png)
Coming to Faith Hope & Charity for the first time…..Come fall in love with The Junebugs!
Imagine if Neil Young and Janis Joplin had three love children, and those children grew up to like folk, rock and hip hop. The Junebugs combine high-energy pop and rock with Pacific Northwest folksy goodness to create a genre-bending sound where you can kick up your heels.
The Junebugs originated on the Vancouver, BC circuit before moving back home to Portland, OR. There, guitarist Moses Barrett picked up drummer Kyle Owen and bassist Nathaniel Daniel, to round out the dynamic trio. Covering everything from Tom Petty to TLC to Lorde, the eclectic taste of the trio ranges from turn-of-the-century Americana to modern Hip Hop, with a strong emphasis on vocal harmony. Their original tunes have a dreamy, sweet quality reminiscent of Neil Young and Iron & Wine, peppered with fiery banjo lines. There is something for everyone here.

Here are six easy things anybody can do to prevent fires: Know Before You Go π²π₯ Before heading out, always check for fire restrictions or closures. Visit your nearest ranger station or CentralOregonFire.org to stay informed. Drown Your Campfire π«π₯ Never leave a campfire without making sure itβs completely out. Pour water until itβs cold to the touch and keep your fire small. Or, consider skipping the fire to enjoy the dark skies. Check Your Chains πβ οΈ When towing a trailer, ensure no chains or metal parts are dragging. Sparks from loose chains can ignite a wildfire. Smoke Responsibly ππ₯ Respect fire restrictions and always dispose of cigarette butts properly. Fully extinguish them before throwing them away. Leave the Fireworks at Home ππ« Fireworks and exploding targets are prohibited on federal public lands. Donβt Be the Spark ππ₯ Avoid driving or parking on dry grass. Hot exhaust pipes can easily start a fire.
π€β€οΈππ This Juneteenth, let’s come together to celebrate freedom and progress! β The History Behind Juneteenth β Although the Emancipation Proclamation was signed in 1863, many remained enslaved. It wasn’t until June 19, 1865, that Maj. Gen. Gordon Granger announced in Galveston, Texas, that the Civil War had ended and slavery was over. Now, 158 years later, we honor this milestone, celebrate progress, and advocate for continued change against ongoing systematic oppression. β Get Involved Locally with @thefathersgroup β The Fatherβs Group champions collaboration and celebrates diverse cross-cultural experiences. As a Black-led non-profit, they focus on education, economic empowerment, community cohesion, and uplifting Black students and families. Join them in making a difference! #Juneteenth #VisitBend #TheFathersGroup #Freedom #Progress
